COPD VS Asthma: A Differential Diagnosis:
Presenter: Dr Allan Kaplan, CCFP [EM] FCFP Chair, FPAGC
Facilitator: Dr Itamar Tamari, MD, CCFP, FCFP Chair, PCAP

The didactic presentation followed by interactive case discussion allows participants to: Identify the symptoms of COPD & Asthma, Diagnose COPD and Asthma accurately and in accordance with the Canadian Asthma Consensus Guidelines (CACG) & Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) COPD Guidelines.

Description:

The COPD vs. Asthma workshop is comprised of a didactic presentation followed by a case discussion delivered and facilitated by Family Physicians. The participants have the benefit of gaining knowledge from specialists in the field and the opportunity to actively work through a case.

The workshop will use an interactive, small group, case-based approach to learning. Resource materials will be provided to participants to support implementation into practice. Participants will be asked to share their experiences and expertise.
